    Imperial measures.
The crew of the Storm Serpent are locked in a race against time as they navigate towards the hidden gold of Skull Rock. Their journey depends on quick, clever conversions between Imperial unitsโ€”do you have what it takes to keep them on course?

    ๐Ÿ™‚ = Correct, โ˜น๏ธ = Incorrect

    ๐Ÿ“Œ Rules

โ€ข Imperial length conversions: Know the key ratios for measuring distances at sea and on land: 12 inches = 1 foot, 3 feet = 1 yard, and 1760 yards = 1 mile. To convert larger units to smaller units, multiply (e.g. 5 feet ร— 12 = 60 inches). To convert smaller units to larger units, divide.

โ€ข Imperial mass and capacity conversions: For weight, 16 ounces (oz) = 1 pound (lb) and 14 pounds = 1 stone. For liquid volume, 8 pints = 1 gallon. If the Storm Serpent carries 3 gallons of fresh water, multiply 3 ร— 8 = 24 pints.

    ๐Ÿ’ก Tips

    โ€ข Approximate metric equivalences: Keep these helpful benchmarks in mind for quick comparisons: 1 inch โ‰ˆ 2.5cm, 1 foot โ‰ˆ 30cm, 1 kilogram โ‰ˆ 2.2 lbs, and 1 gallon โ‰ˆ 4.5 litres (or 1 pint โ‰ˆ 568ml).

โ€ข Quick typing on our platform: Typing your answer is designed to be super quick and simple! Just type plain digits or decimals like 60 or 24 without adding any commas or spaces.

    โš ๏ธ Warnings

โ€ข Imperial units do not convert using tens, hundreds, or thousands: Unlike metric units, imperial measures do not use 10, 100, or 1000! Doing 10 inches = 1 foot or 100 pounds = 1 stone is a very common mistake.

โ€ข Watch the abbreviations: Make sure you do not mix up oz (ounces of mass) with liquid ounces, or lb (pounds) with currency. Always check whether the problem asks for length, mass, or volume.
