    Calculate with metric measures.

    🙂 = Correct, ☹️ = Incorrect

    📌 Rules

    • Convert to the same unit before calculating: Always make sure all measurements are in the same unit before adding or subtracting. For example, if you want to add 2.5km and 800m, convert 2.5km into 2500m first (2.5 × 1000 = 2500m), then add 2500 + 800 = 3300m (or 3.3km).

    • State your final answer in the requested unit: Check whether the question asks for the answer in metres, kilometres, grams, or kilograms. If a ribbon calculation gives 150cm but asks for metres, divide 150 ÷ 100 = 1.5m.

    💡 Tips

    • Choose the easiest unit to work with: Converting larger units to smaller units (like changing 1.2kg into 1200g) helps eliminate decimals, making column addition or subtraction much simpler.

    • Quick typing on our platform: Typing your answer is designed to be super quick and simple! Just type plain digits or decimals like 3300 or 3.3 without adding any commas or spaces.

    ⚠️ Warnings

    • Never add or subtract different units directly: Adding 2.5km + 800m as 2.5 + 800 = 802.5 is incorrect because kilometres and metres are different lengths!

    • Watch decimal place values: When adding decimal measurements like 1.5l + 0.25l, align the decimal points carefully so you do not accidentally add 25 hundredths to 5 units.
