    Volume of a cuboid.
Explore how volume helps us measure space inside everyday objects like boxes, tanks, and containers. Use your skills to solve these real-life cuboid challenges and see how much each shape can hold!

    🙂 = Correct, ☹️ = Incorrect

    📌 Rules

    • Use the volume formula for cuboids:Volume = length × width × height (or l × w × h).

    • Alternative area formula: You can also multiply the area of the base (cross-section) by the depth/height (e.g. Volume = Base Area × Height).

    💡 Tips

    • Multiply in any order: Multiplication is commutative, so you can multiply the three dimensions in whichever order is easiest for mental calculation (e.g. for 5 cm × 7 cm × 2 cm, calculate 5 × 2 = 10, then 10 × 7 = 70 cm³).

    • Cube volume: Since a cube has all equal side lengths, its volume is simply side × side × side (or s³).

    • Quick typing on our platform: Typing your answer is designed to be super quick and simple! Just type plain digits or decimals like 70 or 120 without adding unit labels (e.g. cm, cm³, m³) or extra spaces.

    ⚠️ Warnings

    • Ensure all dimensions use the same unit: If one side is given in metres and another in centimetres, convert them to the same unit before multiplying (e.g. convert 2 m to 200 cm).

    • Do not confuse volume with surface area: Volume measures 3D space inside (cubed units), while surface area measures the total 2D space on all outer faces (squared units).
