    Area of a parallelogram.
Parallelograms come in all shapes and sizes, but the area always follows the same rule. Take on the challenge and calculate the area of each one using the given measurements.

    🙂 = Correct, ☹️ = Incorrect

    📌 Rules

    • Use the area formula for parallelograms:Area = base × perpendicular height (or b × h).

    • Identify the perpendicular height: The height MUST be the straight distance that meets the base at a 90° right angle, not the slanted side length.

    💡 Tips

    • Think of it as a rearranged rectangle: If you slice off the triangular end of a parallelogram and attach it to the other side, it forms a perfect rectangle with the exact same base and height!

    • Check the right-angle marker: Look for the square right-angle symbol (∟) in diagrams to instantly spot which dimension is the true perpendicular height.

    • Quick typing on our platform: Typing your answer is designed to be super quick and simple! Just type plain numbers or decimals like 48 or 32.5 without adding unit labels (e.g. cm, cm², m²) or extra spaces.

    ⚠️ Warnings

    • Do NOT divide by 2: Halving is for triangles! Parallelograms do not need to be divided by 2—just multiply base × height.

    • Ignore the slanted side length: Diagrams often include the length of the sloping side to trick you. Never multiply the base by the slanted side when calculating area!
