Solve division calculations with 2-digit and 3-digit divisors.
    Don’t include any symbols.

    πŸ™‚ = Correct, ☹️ = Incorrect

    πŸ“Œ Rules

β€’ Break the division down step by step using the four key actions: Divide, Multiply, Subtract, and Bring Down (DMSB). Imagine sharing 7680 raffle tickets equally into 12 boxes: first divide 76 by 12 (6 times), multiply 6 Γ— 12 = 72, subtract 76 – 72 = 4, and bring down 8 to make 48 for the next step!

β€’ Always align your quotient digits directly above the correct column in the dividend. When dividing into 7680 by 12, the first digit (6) goes directly above the 6 of seventy-six, keeping your work neat and organised.

    πŸ’‘ Tips

β€’ Write out a quick helper list of multiples for your divisor (like 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72) down the side of your page before you start dividing. This makes finding how many times a large divisor fits into a number super fast and easy!

β€’ When typing your final answers on our platform, keep typing quick and simple by using plain digits only (for example, write 10000, not 10,000 or 10 000). The answer box handles the rest automatically!

    ⚠️ Warnings

β€’ If your subtraction answer is equal to or larger than your divisor, you have not taken away enough groups! For instance, if you get 14 left over after dividing by 12 ☹️, your estimated digit was too small and needs to be increased by 1 πŸ™‚.

β€’ Do not forget to bring down a zero or write a zero in your answer if a divisor does not fit into a step! Skipping a zero column changes a value like 640 into 64 ☹️, which changes the size of your final number.
