Find numbers that belong to the times tables of two or more given numbers.
    Don’t include any symbols.

    πŸ™‚ = Correct, ☹️ = Incorrect

    πŸ“Œ Rules

β€’ A multiple is simply a number in a times table. Think of buying packets of stickers: if packets come in sets of 6, your multiples are 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, and so on.

β€’ A common multiple is a number that appears in the times tables of two different numbers. If snack bars come in boxes of 6 and juice boxes come in packs of 8, both multiples lists contain 24, so 24 is a common multiple.

β€’ When typing your answers on our platform, keep it quick and smooth by using plain numbers only. Type numbers like 24 or 24000 directly with no spaces or commas.

    πŸ’‘ Tips

β€’ To find a common multiple quickly, write out the first few multiples of the larger number first, then check which ones appear in the smaller number’s times table. For 6 and 8, test 8, 16, 24 (24 works for both).

β€’ You can always find a common multiple by multiplying the two numbers together. For 6 and 8, doing 6 Γ— 8 gives 48, which is a common multiple, though 24 is the lowest common multiple.

    ⚠️ Warnings

β€’ Do not confuse multiples with factors. Factors are the smaller whole numbers that divide into a target number, while multiples are the larger answers you get when skip-counting upwards.

β€’ Remember not to include any spaces or commas in your typed answers. Our input fields only accept numerical digits, so entering plain numbers ensures your answer is marked smoothly.
